Nifty: Wall Street ended lower as investors await US inflation data. Another major event for the Indian market is the RBI's announcement of the monetary policy at 10 am. It is expected that the repo rate will remain unchanged. In the case of any change, a significant market movement can occur. It's advised to wait until 10.30 am to place a trade.
The major resistance, according to open interest (OI), remains at 19,700. As we witnessed a sharp move in the last hour, 19,620 and 19,540 have become the demand zones.
If the index breaches 19,500 and 19,700, one can expect a directional market.
